PowerApps Delegation Warning

Update Aug 15 2019 - Microsoft has updated PowerApps to allow for some complex SharePoint data delegation, this will hopefully resolve most issues you were seeing when working with SharePoint data:  https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/sharepoint-delegation-improvements/ If you've tried to use the Filter, LookUp or Search actions in PowerApps you have seen the yellow warning error that shows a 'delegation warning' and you might have even ignored it because your PowerApp was working fine in testing. However once you get into larger data sets your PowerApp will have some issues so in this blog I will attempt to explain what the delegation warning is and how you can fix your PowerApp. Delegation So what even is Delegation in PowerApps? O365 Weekly Digest - 02/25/2019

Every week I'll be posting a quick summary of O365 updates included in the admin weekly digest email that you can sign up for via the admin Message Center:  https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home#/MessageCenter  - these emails include items posted to the message center over the last week and come out every Monday. Lots of updates on previously announced features were included in this week's digest including Sticky Column Headers for lists and libraries (Roadmap ID:  46103 ) and New Tasks module for Outlook web with Microsoft To-Do (Roadmap ID:  34338 ) so I will focus on the net new things this week. End users will be seeing some updates in their Outlook experience including mobile support for Teams Meetings (Roadmap IDs:  32955  &  32956 ) and easier group membership management for Groups in Outlook. Forms Pro - 2/21 Release

Today marks the day that Microsoft has released information on their new Forms Pro tool. Forms Pro will be a part of the Dynamics 365 space and will release features in preview over the next 6 months. The goal of Forms Pro is to be an enterprise survey tool that builds on the feature set Microsoft Forms with the goal of allowing users to  Design, Distribute, and Analyze  their forms and responses. Microsoft has posted the following planned features for public preview release for March 2019:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/business-applications-release-notes/April19/forms-pro/planned-features  Below is a summary of each of the sections and the key differences from Microsoft Forms but I encourage you to check out the links for yourself for a full feature set. Design a Survey  with additional features such as:  Additional Question Types Branching logic based on answers to previous questions Translations for multi-lingual support Display contextual data from business apps.

Lots of new and updated features have been announced this week, the most exciting are the updates to SharePoint lists/libraries getting Sticky Column Headers as well as the new location column. But the most interesting is the announcement of Forms Pro which aims to be an enterprise surveying tool and will be entering public preview on the 21st. This week has some exciting end user experience updates. For starters, PowerPoint and Word files saved to SharePoint and OneDrive will now load faster when opening on user's desktops. Up next, Office.com will become the default homepage for all users when logging into office.com, previously users could opt to change their default homepage but Microsoft will now be directing everyone to the same landing experience which will showcase important documents and apps to the user utilizing the Graph ( Roadmap ID: 45971 ). Finally, users of Outlook mobile will now be alerted when an email contains an external recipient, this feature will be turned on starting March 4t
